World-Class Pyrotechnics Set to Light Up Las Vegas with New International Fireworks Championship

A brand-new spectacle is heading to Southern Nevada as tickets are now on sale for the inaugural 2026 International Fireworks Championship Las Vegas, an event expected to draw thousands of spectators for an evening of cutting-edge pyrotechnics, live entertainment, and world-record attempts.

The first-year event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, bringing together elite fireworks teams from around the globe for a high-energy competition unlike traditional fireworks displays.

Presented by BLAST! EVENTS, a family-owned pyrotechnics company with more than three decades of experience, the championship will showcase four internationally recognized fireworks teams, each delivering elaborate, choreographed displays lasting between 12 and 15 minutes. Between each performance, spectators will enjoy live entertainment during 15-minute intermissions, creating a full evening of immersive entertainment.

According to BLAST! EVENTS Founder and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Tyree, the event is designed to redefine what audiences expect from fireworks entertainment.

“This International Fireworks Championship won’t be like any of the fireworks you’ve seen before — even in Las Vegas,” Tyree said. “These are incredibly intense and creative displays, exploding lower to the ground, and they’re all highly choreographed and synchronized to music. It’s a full-on sensory experience.”

The event will open with a major highlight — a world record attempt led by renowned Spanish fireworks icon Ricardo Caballer. The planned performance will feature a mascletà, a traditional Spanish fireworks display known for its thunderous rhythmic explosions, enhanced with modern choreography and possibly drone technology. Representatives from Guinness World Records are expected to be on site to verify the attempt.

Adding to the evening’s entertainment, social media influencer and radio personality Heather Collins has been confirmed as the event host, helping guide attendees through the evening’s programming and competition highlights. Las Vegas-based country band Desert Heat will provide live music between the competing fireworks displays, keeping the energy high throughout the event.

Gates for the championship open at 2:30 p.m., allowing attendees to enjoy pre-show activities before the first fireworks display begins at approximately 6 p.m. The competition is expected to conclude around 8:30 p.m., when judges will crown the inaugural world championship team.

Tickets are currently available online, with early bird pricing offering several viewing options. General admission tickets begin at $95 per person, reserved seating is available for $144, and VIP “Lux Lounge” experiences are priced at $318. Luxury suites with premium viewing opportunities are also available. Ticket prices include parking and fees, excluding applicable sales tax.

BLAST! EVENTS brings extensive expertise to the production of the championship. With more than 35 years in the pyrotechnics industry, Tyree has built a reputation for producing some of the largest and most complex fireworks displays worldwide. The company organizes, produces, and markets fireworks showcases year-round across multiple continents, often pushing the boundaries of pyrotechnic design and technology.

Behind each large-scale fireworks presentation is a massive coordinated effort. Shows of this magnitude typically involve teams of designers, technicians, safety specialists, and choreographers working together to synchronize fireworks, music, and visual effects. Advanced firing systems, precision timing software, and strict safety protocols are essential components in ensuring both breathtaking visuals and secure operations.

Tyree notes that while fireworks displays may appear effortless from the audience perspective, they require months of planning, specialized training, and careful safety oversight to execute successfully.

The International Fireworks Championship Las Vegas marks BLAST! EVENTS’ latest effort to expand the global appreciation of pyrotechnic artistry while offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience multiple world-class displays in a single evening.

Organizers expect the event to attract both locals and visitors looking for a unique entertainment experience during the winter season in Las Vegas.
