The Pahrump Valley High School tennis teams faced Boulder City in separate matches Sept. 28 and 29, with the girls earning seven team points at home and the boys collecting three on the road. Chanel Anthony swept her singles matches to lead the girls, while the boys finished their trip with two victories in the final round.

The girls hosted the Eagles in Pahrump on Monday, Sept. 28, falling 11–7 in a match that featured contributions from both singles players and all three doubles teams.

Anthony delivered Pahrump’s strongest individual performance, winning all three of her singles matches. She opened with a 6–1 victory before posting consecutive 6–0 wins in the second and third rounds. Her sweep accounted for three of the Trojans’ seven points.

Aurora Bowers added another singles point with a 6–1 victory in the opening round. She continued through two more matchups against Boulder City’s singles lineup, finishing with one win in three matches.

Each of Pahrump’s doubles teams also earned a victory. Kimberly Hernandez and Sophia Mejia Jimenez helped the Trojans open the afternoon on even terms with the Eagles, winning their first match 6–4. Combined with the opening singles victories from Anthony and Bowers, their win left the teams tied 3–3 after the first round.

Lily Gregory and Wendy Rodriguez delivered the closest of Pahrump’s doubles victories in the second round. The pair worked through a 6–6 tie before winning the tiebreaker 7–2 to secure a 7–6 victory. Their result, along with another win from Anthony, gave the Trojans two points in that round.

Milly Khandpur and Nyomi Skinner closed their afternoon with a 6–0 doubles victory in the third round. All three doubles pairs finished with one win in three matches, providing three points toward Pahrump’s final total.

The boys traveled to Boulder City on Tuesday, Sept. 29, falling 15–3 to the Eagles. After Boulder City swept the opening round, the Trojans earned a singles victory in the second round and added wins in both singles and doubles to finish the match.

Jace Eichner put Pahrump on the scoreboard with a 6–0 singles victory in his second matchup. Ethan Johnson added another point in the final round, winning a close 7–6 match after taking the tiebreaker 7–4.

Brody Myers and Samson Wagner supplied the boys’ doubles victory. After dropping their first two matches by 6–2 scores, the pair finished with a 6–3 win in the third round. Their victory, alongside Johnson’s tiebreaker win, gave the Trojans two points in the closing round of the road match.
