The PVHS Trojans volleyball team put up a valiant effort in their thrilling five-game match against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, which took place at Sloan. The game stretched over three hours, with intense rallies and long points, showcasing the best performance of the season for the Trojans.

Heavenly was a standout player, leading the team with 10 kills and 4 solo blocks. Her powerful presence at the net was key to PVHS’s strong showing. Bryn Mazlo also made a significant impact with her defensive skills, recording 18 digs throughout the night.

Sedona Norton contributed impressively with her 9 receptions, and she also led the serving stats with 18 serves, 5 of them being aces. Not far behind was Xeane Kamanu, who also delivered 18 serves, landing 3 aces.

Head Coach Veronica Montanez expressed her pride in the team, stating, “They played their best game of the year. We went 5 games and long points. It was a three-hour game. Heavenly and Bryn did great!”

The match was a rollercoaster of tightly contested sets, with the final scores being 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, 22-25, and 15-9. Despite the Trojans’ tenacious efforts, the Pirates claimed victory with a 3-2 final score.
