Shift in Care, New Provider in Town

When Amy Veloz, our editor, first interviewed me back in February, one of our conversations touched on the fact that I knew I would be restructuring August Services LLC this year—though much was still unclear at that time.

As promised, I’m excited to share the first steps. While there is some sadness, this moment feels bittersweet—with far more sweet than not.

Effective December 31, 2025, Prestigious Personal Care of August Services LLC will be closing, as High Desert Home Care completes the acquisition of all of our clients and caregivers.

I’d like to take a moment to introduce Greg Treece and Ashliee Saucedo, the joint owners of High Desert Home Care, which serves communities across Nevada. After launching in Northern Nevada just over two years ago, they were ready to expand south. As they established their presence in the Las Vegas Valley, it became clear that the timing was right for both organizations to move forward together.

Our standards of care—for both clients and caregivers—align beautifully. They are also sharing my office space, ensuring the local presence that is so essential to our community.

So, if you’ve heard a rumor that we’re closing our doors and no longer providing care—here’s the real story.

    And for me? What’s next?

With the closing of August Services LLC, I’ll be taking a sabbatical before returning in 2026 to my passion: C.A.R.E.S.—Consulting, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Solutions.

As we approach the close of 2025, I wish everyone in our community safety, comfort, and peace.

    Happy New Year.
