A free community expo will bring resources, local businesses and a Thanksgiving theme to the Pahrump Nugget on Friday, Nov. 13, offering seniors, veterans and their families an opportunity to connect with services available to them.
Hope, Hearts & Heroes Foundation will host its Living Well Senior and Veteran Expo: Thanksgiving Edition from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the casino, 681 Highway 160. The event is open to the public and will include exhibitors, giveaways, raffles and a mini adaptive wear fashion show.
Founded by Tim and Lynn Dilloo, the nonprofit foundation works to improve the lives of seniors and veterans by connecting them with resources, support and community programs. The upcoming expo brings that mission to Pahrump with an event intended to recognize their contributions while helping attendees learn about services that support daily living.
Exhibitors will offer information on medical and insurance resources, home improvement services and programs geared toward seniors, along with a variety of local products and services. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet participating businesses and organizations and explore what they offer.
The Thanksgiving theme will carry through the event with gratitude-themed giveaways and raffles, available while supplies last.
One of the featured activities will be a mini Adaptive Wear Fashion Show presented in collaboration with Friends of Parkinson’s. The show will highlight clothing designed with everyday comfort and accessibility in mind, including the needs of people who use wheelchairs and walkers.
For the foundation’s founders, the gathering is also an opportunity to bring people together and express appreciation for the community’s seniors and veterans.
“Supporting seniors and veterans is at the heart of everything we do,” Tim and Lynn Dilloo said in the foundation’s announcement. “We want this event to be more than an expo. It’s an opportunity to show our gratitude, bring people together, and connect our community with resources that can make a meaningful difference.”
The foundation is also welcoming exhibitors from Pahrump and the greater Las Vegas area. Businesses, service providers and organizations interested in connecting with seniors, veterans and their families are encouraged to participate.
Admission is free. For more information about the event, exhibitor opportunities or Hope, Hearts & Heroes Foundation, visit www.HopeHeartsandHeroes.org or email Info@HopeHeartsandHeroes.org.
