    RCMS Celebrates Student Achievement During Annual Awards Night

    Rosemary Clarke Middle School recently celebrated the accomplishments of its students during the school’s annual Awards Night ceremonies, recognizing academic achievement, leadership, attendance, classroom excellence and outstanding character across all grade levels.

    The event honored sixth, seventh and eighth grade students who demonstrated excellence throughout the 2025-2026 school year, while also highlighting the dedication of RCMS teachers, counselors, administrators and support staff who helped guide students throughout the year.

    Among the recognitions presented were awards for students earning a 3.5 GPA and above, perfect attendance and Straight A’s. Several students were also recognized for subject-specific achievement in areas including language arts, honors language arts, math, honors math, science, reading, geography, physical education, art, STEM, computers, journalism, band, choir, guitar and more.

    In sixth grade, Ireland Meads and Leland Duty received the Principal’s Award, while Everett Evans earned Outstanding Achievement honors. Thalia Britton, Inaya Garcia, Joshua Lilly and Vinon Varnado were among the students recognized for earning Straight A’s.

    Seventh grade honors included Principal’s Awards for Madisyn Smith and Harrison Zam, while Levi Buscay-Leuty earned Outstanding Achievement recognition. Students such as Kylie Butler, William Cassell, Jackson Ingersoll, Jaslene Martinez, Trinity Porter and A’millia Weir were among those recognized for Straight A’s.

    During the eighth grade ceremony, Bentley Heilman and Azhia Nawatani-May received the Principal’s Award, while Odette Martinez earned Outstanding Achievement honors. Several students were also recognized for maintaining Straight A’s, including Ethen Bolling, Marissa Gomez, Emmett Gordon, Sofia Sanchez-Veliz and Edmond Southwick. Sierra Kane and Rosemary Robles Moreno were specially noted for earning Straight A’s all three years of middle school.

    The evening also highlighted the school’s appreciation for families and community support, with RCMS thanking parents and guardians for their continued encouragement and involvement in student success. Smith’s Food and Drug was recognized for donating flowers for the event.

    RCMS administrators, including Principal April Sutton, Assistant Principal Zachary Butt, Assistant Principal Dr. Tina Winquist and Dean of Students Judy Bloom, joined teachers and staff in celebrating the students’ hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year.
