Pahrump Chili Cook-Off and Festival: A Three-Day Celebration of Food, Fun, and Community

The annual Pahrump Chili Cook-Off and Festival is set to return this weekend, March 21-23, 2025, promising a weekend packed with delicious chili, live entertainment, exciting competitions, and family-friendly activities. Since its inception 13 years ago, the festival has grown into a highly anticipated community event, bringing together locals and visitors for a celebration of food and philanthropy.

The Pahrump Chili Cook-Off was founded by local resident Ron Frazier, who wanted to create an event that would benefit the community and local non-profit organizations. In 2019, he passed the torch to Kelli Sater, who continues to uphold his vision, expanding the festival each year. The event is now dedicated in memory of Ron and his wife Marion, honoring their love for the Pahrump community and, of course, their passion for chili.

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! The event will kick off on Friday at 4 p.m. with a full carnival, offering rides and attractions for thrill-seekers and families alike. Live music will fill the air throughout the weekend, featuring performances from talented local musicians and popular Vegas acts. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample and vote for their favorite chili while cheering on competitors vying for the title of best chili in Pahrump. For those looking to test their spice tolerance, the Hot Ones Season 26 Challenge will provide an intense heat experience, culminating in the Last Dab Xperience, which boasts a staggering 2,693,000 Scoville units.

The Pahrump Chili Cook-Off Car Show makes its return after a phenomenal turnout last year. With new categories and an expanded lineup, car enthusiasts and spectators alike can enjoy a stunning showcase of classic, custom, and modern vehicles. Additionally, festival-goers can participate in raffles for exciting prizes, including two Red Hot Chili Peppers concert tickets.

Young racers aged 6 and under can take part in the Little Chili Pepper Grand Prix on March 22, a thrilling event that invites children to bring their electric cars and compete in a fun-filled race at Petrack Park. Even if you don’t have a participant in the race, spectators are encouraged to come and cheer for these tiny speedsters as they dash toward the finish line.

One of the core missions of the Pahrump Chili Cook-Off is to support local charities. This year’s event will donate proceeds to Pahrump Valley Kiwanis Club and St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, both of which work to enhance the lives and futures of young people. By attending, visitors are not only enjoying a weekend of fantastic food and entertainment but also contributing to a meaningful cause.

The Pahrump Chili Cook-Off and Festival will take place from March 21-23, 2025, at Petrack Park (150 S HWY-160, Pahrump, NV). Carnival tickets are available for pre-sale savings online. Applications for contests, car shows, and the Little Chili Pepper Grand Prix can also be found online.

Don’t miss out on this three-day celebration of food, fun, and community! Whether you’re a chili enthusiast, a thrill-seeker, or simply looking for an exciting weekend, the Pahrump Chili Cook-Off and Festival has something for everyone. Mark your calendars and prepare for a spicy and spectacular event!
