As the new school year kicks off across Nye County, district officials are rolling out a new resource designed to strengthen the bridge between schools and families. The Nye County School District (NCSD) has officially launched its Parent Digital Toolkit, a user-friendly website packed with tools to simplify communication and give parents easier access to vital school information.
Available at www.nye.k12.nv.us/page/parent-toolkit, the toolkit brings together multiple platforms in one centralized hub. It includes direct links to:
- Infinite Campus Parent Portal – for tracking grades, attendance, and assignments.
- NCSD App with eduRooms – for real-time school updates and secure, text-like messaging with teachers.
- StopFinder – a bus tracking app currently available in Pahrump, providing peace of mind for parents.
- MySchoolBucks – a secure, online payment platform for school fees and activities.

One of the most significant updates is the district-wide adoption of eduRooms, a powerful two-way communication platform that enables parents to message teachers directly from their smartphones. Integrated into the official NCSD app, eduRooms now also allows parents to report absences digitally—no more phone calls or handwritten notes. A few taps in the app lets parents submit an absence and even upload a doctor’s note.
“We are thrilled to offer our families a tool that makes connecting with their child’s teacher as easy as sending a text message,” said NCSD Superintendent Dr. Joseph H. Gent. “The Parent Digital Toolkit is a vital part of our commitment to fostering strong partnerships between home and school.”
Parents can access eduRooms through the NCSD app or via web browser at thrillshare.com. Logging in is as simple as entering the phone number registered with the school in Infinite Campus.
According to Robert Williams, NCSD’s Communications Officer, the district’s mission is to remove barriers and increase family involvement. “Our goal is to leverage technology to make it as simple as possible for parents to be active participants in their child’s education. Putting these powerful tools into a single, easily accessible website empowers our families and strengthens our entire school community,” he said.
With the launch of the Parent Digital Toolkit, NCSD is taking another step toward creating a connected, collaborative learning environment where families are informed and involved every step of the way.
Parents are encouraged to explore the toolkit, download the recommended apps, and start the new school year engaged and informed.
