The Pahrump Valley High School girls varsity basketball team Lady Trojans delivered a dominant performance at home on Wednesday, Dec. 10, cruising to a 50–4 victory over Amplus Academy Archers with balanced scoring, strong defensive pressure, and steady execution from start to finish.
The Lady Trojans set the tone early, jumping out to a quick lead just seconds into the game when Addi Nelsen finished a layup. Defensive energy followed immediately, with Ella Odegard coming up with a steal that led to continued possession for Pahrump. Riley Saldaña drew a shooting foul and made one of two free throws, and Odegard added a basket off an inbound play to push the lead to 5–0.
Pahrump continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor. Kaitlyn Brown and Saldaña each drew fouls, while Saldaña knocked down a three-pointer midway through the first quarter. Autumn Colon found Saldaña inside for another basket, and Saldaña followed with a pair of strong finishes in transition. Late in the quarter, Cindal Monahan and Kaylan Robinson added inside buckets, and Saldaña capped the opening frame with a breakaway layup as the Lady Trojans closed the first quarter ahead 21–0.

The second quarter saw more of the same balanced attack. Brown scored inside early, followed by another basket from Odegard. Julie Briggs added two points, and Odegard connected with Saldaña underneath for another score. Despite a pair of baskets from Amplus, Pahrump responded immediately. Monahan drew a shooting foul and converted from the line, and Sydney Crotty closed the half with a three-pointer in the final seconds to send the Lady Trojans into halftime with a commanding 35–4 lead.
Coming out of the break, Odegard opened the third quarter with a strong finish underneath, and Saldaña followed with another basket and a three-pointer. Crotty added two more points inside as the Trojans continued to control the pace and maintain defensive pressure. Pahrump ended the third quarter ahead 44–4, triggering a running clock for the final period.

In the fourth quarter, Jaycie Hayes added to the scoring with a basket, and Emily Zaragoza finished strong late, scoring twice in the final minutes to close out the game. The Lady Trojans secured the 50–4 win with contributions across the roster and a complete team effort on both ends of the court.
