Local businesses and community members came together Saturday, June 13, as the Pahrump Business Networking Group hosted its first-ever Business Fair at the Nye Communities Coalition, creating an afternoon centered on connection, local commerce and community support.

Held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the inaugural event welcomed more than 100 attendees and featured 65 businesses representing a wide range of industries, each offering information, resources and opportunities to connect with residents through tabletop displays.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors had the chance to meet business owners, learn more about services available throughout the community and discover organizations working to serve Pahrump in different ways. Adding to the atmosphere was live entertainment from City Catz, whose music helped create an energetic and welcoming environment for both vendors and guests.

In addition to highlighting local businesses, the event also included a charitable component. Organizers raised $319 during the fair to benefit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, supporting the organization’s mission to help provide beds for children in need.

Business Fair organizer Gail Gershbein said she was extremely encouraged by the response from both participating businesses and community members.

According to Gershbein, organizers were pleased not only with the number of businesses that chose to participate, but also with the public turnout and overall reception to the event. As the first event of its kind hosted by the Pahrump Business Networking Group, she said the experience exceeded expectations and reinforced interest in creating additional opportunities for local businesses to connect with the community.

The event was supported by several local sponsors including Desert Delights Pahrump, Somepromoguy.com, Pahrump Life Magazine, Roots 66, Rosestead, Desert Forest Farms, Back The Lane and Sgt. Nigh’s Designs.

With the success of the first fair, planning is already underway for the next event.

The Pahrump Business Networking Group plans to host its next Business Fair on Jan. 23, 2027, once again at the Nye Communities Coalition, with organizers looking forward to building on the momentum and continuing to strengthen connections among local businesses and residents.
