Residents of Pahrump have a unique opportunity to step into the world of ballroom dance as Dance Magic 808, a nonprofit social dance club from Honolulu, Hawaii, hosts its first-ever classes in the area. On Monday, November 18, 2024, the organization will offer two free ballroom dance classes for adults 18 and older at the Bob Ruud Community Center.

The event, led by experienced instructors Richard and Lynn Nakamura, is designed to welcome both beginners and experienced dancers. Each class will run for 45 minutes, providing an accessible introduction to the joys of ballroom dancing.

    Event Details:

    • Date: Monday, November 18, 2024
    • Location: Bob Ruud Community Center
    • Registration: 5:15 – 5:30 p.m.
    • Class Time: 5:30 p.m.

The best part? The classes on this date are completely free, making it the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning or improving their dance skills.

“We are excited to bring the joy of ballroom dancing to Pahrump,” said Lynn Nakamura, who co-leads the classes with her husband, Richard. “Whether you’ve danced before or are just starting, these classes are for everyone.”

To register or get more information, participants can contact Lynn by email at travelynn@hotmail.com or text at 808-372-2256 (include your name when reaching out).

Dance Magic 808, a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization, is committed to promoting social dance and fostering community connections through ballroom dancing. Their first venture into Pahrump offers locals a chance to experience the benefits of dance, from physical fitness to social engagement.

Don’t miss out on this exciting evening of dance—lace up your dancing shoes and join the fun on November 18!
