A Journey of Healing and Wellness with Jamie Schneider at Pure Bliss Massage

Jamie Schneider, owner of Pure Bliss Massage, has been making a difference in Pahrump through the art of massage therapy for nearly a decade. Jamie began her career in 2015 after years of experience in Las Vegas and a personal journey that shaped her path to becoming a skilled massage therapist.

Jamie’s passion for massage therapy began unexpectedly. As a young girl, she would massage her grandmother’s feet, a task that earned her a dollar every visit. While this simple gesture was her introduction to massage, Jamie did not initially consider it a career. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for two years without deciding on a major, and in the interim, she decided to explore massage therapy as a temporary option. “I thought I’d just do massage for a while until I figured out what I wanted to do,” Jamie reflects. “But 20 years later, here I am, still massaging.”

Jamie’s professional journey took off when she attended the Nevada School of Massage Therapy, where she learned various techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and reflexology. Over the years, she has continued to expand her skills through continuing education courses, which are required every two years to maintain her license. She has also taken courses in Thai massage, hot stone therapy, and more, ensuring she stays current with new techniques and trends in the industry.

“I really enjoy blending deep tissue with Swedish techniques,” Jamie says. “It allows me to offer a relaxing experience while also addressing specific areas of tension.” She emphasizes the importance of customizing each massage to the client’s needs, taking into account any injuries, medical conditions, or specific preferences. Jamie offers add-ons such as hot stones, aromatherapy, and warm towels to enhance the massage experience, tailoring her services to meet the unique needs of each client.

A lesser-known technique Jamie uses is a specialized massage for the sinuses. This is particularly helpful for clients suffering from sinus pressure and headaches. “I’ve had clients tell me the sinus massage provides instant relief,” Jamie shares. She finds satisfaction in these small but impactful techniques that help her clients feel better. Jamie also emphasizes the importance of consistency in massage therapy. “You can’t just come once a year and expect lasting results. Regular massage helps your body respond better over time and provides more sustained relief,” she advises.

The environment at Pure Bliss Massage is designed to be serene and calming, with dim lighting, ocean-themed décor, and the option for clients to choose their preferred music. Jamie believes these elements contribute to a more relaxing and comfortable experience. “I want my clients to feel like they are escaping from their everyday stresses,” Jamie says. She takes pride in creating a space where clients can unwind and rejuvenate.

One of Jamie’s most rewarding experiences involved a long-term client who had suffered a stroke and struggled with limited mobility. Through regular massages, Jamie helped improve her shoulder mobility and provided much-needed relief. “It’s moments like these that make me love what I do,” Jamie says. “Knowing that I can help improve someone’s quality of life, even just a little, is incredibly fulfilling.”

Jamie collaborates with other health professionals to offer a holistic approach to wellness. She often works with chiropractors, who refer their clients to her for massages that complement their treatments. This collaborative approach enhances the overall wellness experience for her clients, providing comprehensive care that addresses both muscular and skeletal needs.

Despite the physical demands of her job, Jamie remains committed to her self-care. She works out regularly and takes measures to ensure she does not overwork herself, limiting the number of massages she performs each day to prevent burnout. “It’s important to take care of myself so I can continue taking care of my clients,” she notes.

Jamie’s advice to aspiring massage therapists is to be mindful of the physical demands of the profession. “It’s very physical work, and you have to take care of yourself too,” she advises. However, she also emphasizes the rewards of the job. “It’s incredibly rewarding. People are happy to see you, and it’s a calm, stress-free environment. Plus, it’s nice knowing you’re making a difference in someone’s day.”

Looking ahead, Jamie’s goal is to continue her practice and maintain her passion for massage therapy. While she has considered opening her own massage studio, she is content with her current setup and focuses on sustaining her business. “I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and I want to keep going. My goal is to make it last,” Jamie shares.

For those interested in experiencing the relaxation and relief that Pure Bliss Massage offers, Jamie Schneider can be found inside Enhanced Aesthetics and Wellness at 2161 HWY 160, Suite 6 and can be reached through her website, Facebook or by 📞 (775) 209-4735.
