The Pahrump Valley High School varsity volleyball team continued to showcase their dominance on the court with a decisive 3-0 win over Western High School from Las Vegas in a home conference match on Monday, September 23rd. The Trojans won the sets with scores of 25-13, 25-10, and 25-12, leaving no doubt about their control of the game from start to finish.
Key performances came from Heavenly Ware and Xeane Kamanu, who both led the team with 6 kills each. Ware was also a force at the net with 7 solo blocks, while Kamanu contributed 11 digs, leading the defense with her agility and quick reactions.
Sedona Norton made a significant impact as well, serving 7 aces and playing an essential role on defense, adding 10 digs of her own. Norton’s aggressive serves and defensive presence helped keep Western off balance throughout the match.
Head Coach Veronica Montanez expressed pride in her team’s performance, highlighting their solid teamwork and energy. “We can only go up from here,” Montanez said, reflecting on the girls’ growing confidence and ability to execute under pressure.
This victory adds another notch to the Trojans’ season, as they continue to build momentum. With strong performances across the board, Pahrump Valley is poised for even greater success in the upcoming matches.
