The PVHS Trojans volleyball team put up a fierce fight at home against the Boulder City Eagles on Tuesday night, ultimately falling in a hard-fought five-set match, 3-2. The game was an intense back-and-forth, with the final scores being 25-23, 25-13, 13-25, 20-25, and 15-8 in favor of the Eagles.
Belen Ramirez, who was named Player of the Game, delivered an outstanding performance with 8 receptions and exceptional setting, guiding the team throughout the night. Xeane Kamanu also shined with 5 aces on her serves and 9 digs, while Heavenly Ware led the team with 10 kills. Both Ware and Marayah Waller dominated at the net, recording 6 solo blocks each.
Head Coach Veronica Montanez expressed pride in her team’s effort, saying, “Lots of fight and heart. They did so well, and I’m so proud of them.”
Despite the narrow loss, the Trojans showcased their resilience and teamwork, pushing the Eagles to five sets in a thrilling home game.
