NAIOP Southern Nevada becomes CREDA Southern Nevada following national rebrand

A longtime organization representing Southern Nevada’s commercial real estate industry is entering a new chapter with a new name.

Effective July 1, NAIOP Southern Nevada has officially become the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) Southern Nevada, aligning with a nationwide rebranding effort announced by the organization’s national leadership.

The name change reflects the association’s evolving role within the commercial real estate industry and is intended to better represent the professionals and businesses it serves.

According to CREDA Southern Nevada Executive Director Jamie Schwartz, the new identity more accurately communicates the organization’s mission and impact.

“We welcome this name change and think CREDA more accurately reflects what our organization is and does for leaders in the commercial real estate industry here in Southern Nevada and nationwide,” Schwartz said. “This is a seminal moment for the association and the 55 local chapters across North America, including here in Southern Nevada. It’s especially significant for our local chapter, which was established in 1986 and has become one of the most successful chapters in the nation.”

The Southern Nevada chapter has represented the region’s commercial real estate development industry for four decades, providing networking opportunities, professional education, advocacy and industry resources to its members. The organization serves professionals involved in office, industrial, retail, multifamily and mixed-use development, along with many of the supporting industries connected to commercial real estate.

While the organization’s name and branding are changing, its mission of supporting commercial real estate professionals throughout Southern Nevada remains unchanged.

The new CREDA branding will begin appearing across the region in the coming weeks as the organization updates its materials, communications and public-facing identity.

Officials say the rebranding also provides an opportunity for commercial real estate professionals who are not currently members to join the organization under its new identity.

The Commercial Real Estate Development Association is a global professional organization representing more than 21,000 members through 55 chapters across North America. The association focuses on providing networking opportunities, professional development, educational programming and industry research designed to help commercial real estate professionals grow their careers and businesses.
