Pahrump Valley High School celebrated a major milestone for several senior student-athletes on Friday, May 8, as the school hosted a special signing day ceremony recognizing athletes who have committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Family members, friends, coaches, teammates and school staff gathered to honor the seniors during what marked one of the largest signing groups in recent PVHS history. The ceremony highlighted not only the athletes’ accomplishments in competition, but also the years of dedication, hard work and perseverance that helped them reach the next level.

The Trojans represented a wide range of sports, including football, soccer, track and field, wrestling, softball and dance, showcasing the depth of athletic talent across the PVHS programs.

Among those signing were football standouts Austin Alvarez and Joshua Slusher, who both committed to Mayville State University. The duo helped lead the Trojan football program through a strong season and now will continue their careers together at the collegiate level.

For the athletes, signing day represented the culmination of years spent balancing practices, competitions, travel, academics and countless hours of preparation. For PVHS, it was an opportunity to celebrate a group of seniors whose achievements have left a lasting impact on their respective programs.
