As Tiler Ledford reflects on her high school journey at Pahrump Valley High School, she recalls a whirlwind of unforgettable experiences that shaped her as both an athlete and a person. From the soccer field to the wrestling mat and the track, Tiler poured her heart into every sport she played, building memories that will stay with her forever. “Sports really shaped me,” Tiler shares. “They challenged me to see who I am, reminding me that not everything goes as planned. You just have to keep your heart set on it and stay true to yourself.”

One of Tiler’s proudest achievements has been her role in creating a space for girls in wrestling at PVHS. As one of the first female wrestlers, she broke new ground, encouraging other girls to step onto the mat and join a traditionally male-dominated sport. “Wrestling was challenging, but being one of the girls to help build the team is something I’ll always hold close to my heart,” she says with pride. “I hope other girls continue to join and realize wrestling is for everyone. It’s taught me resilience, teamwork, and the importance of pushing through barriers.”

Outside of her athletic commitments, Tiler has enjoyed the camaraderie of traveling with her teammates to different schools, sharing meals, and creating friendships that will last a lifetime. These experiences, she says, are what made high school truly memorable.

Looking forward, Tiler is ready to bring that same spirit of determination to the next chapter of her life. She’s excited to continue growing and exploring her interests, whether through studying criminal justice or pursuing a business degree with dreams of one day launching her own business. “I want to challenge myself as I step into adulthood, to keep setting goals and testing my limits,” she says. And as she considers the possibilities, sports will likely remain a part of her journey, as she looks forward to the new ways athletics can continue to push and inspire her.

To the underclassmen, Tiler offers heartfelt advice drawn from her own experiences: “Don’t mess around in school. Be yourself, find your passion, and don’t let someone else’s opinion hold you back. High school is your time to explore what you love, so dive in without second-guessing who you are.”

With her positive outlook, fierce determination, and unwavering dedication, Tiler Ledford is well-prepared to take on whatever challenges come her way, carrying with her the invaluable lessons and friendships she forged at PVHS.
