On Thursday, December 18, a small group of students from Pahrump Valley High School brought the spirit of the season to Mt. Charleston Elementary, delivering 250 handmade toys created by students enrolled in Mr. Nelson’s building construction classes.
Wearing Santa hats and big smiles, the high school students arrived just in time for Mt. Charleston’s pajama day, adding an extra layer of excitement to the morning. Each pre-kindergarten student received a handcrafted toy along with a candy cane, turning the visit into a joyful and memorable holiday experience.

The project highlighted both craftsmanship and community connection, giving students the opportunity to apply their hands-on skills while giving back in a meaningful way. For the pre-kindergarten students, the surprise delivery brought laughter, excitement, and a tangible reminder of the kindness shared within the broader Pahrump community.

The visit served as a heartwarming example of students using their talents to brighten the holidays for others, making the season a little more special for everyone involved.
