The Pahrump Youth Sports Bandits will take the field against members of the Nye County Sheriff’s Office for a flag football game Saturday, Oct. 17, at Pahrump Valley High School. The Pink Bowl begins at 10 a.m. on the high school football field, and admission is free.
The Bandits are a local traveling football team for players under 11. Their game against sheriff’s officers will bring young athletes, families and local law enforcement together for a community event centered on breast cancer awareness.
Organizers plan to honor breast cancer survivors on the field at halftime with a special clap-out celebration. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink and join in supporting the survivors.
Pink Bowl T-shirts are available for preorder at $20 for adults and $15 for children. Snacks, soda and water will be available for $1 each. Donations will also be accepted at the gate. According to the event flyer, proceeds will support Hope Cancer Care of Nevada, PVHS and Pahrump Youth Sports.
