The Pahrump Valley High School Lady Trojans set the tone early and never let up Wednesday night, January 21, rolling to a convincing road victory over the Amplus Archers in Las Vegas.

Pahrump Valley controlled the opening tip and immediately went to work. Kaitlyn Brown jump-started the offense with a three from the right wing, then buried another from the left corner moments later to make it a quick 6–0. The Lady Trojans continued to apply pressure, forcing turnovers and turning them into points. Julie Briggs found Riley Saldaña on the block for a bucket and foul, then cleaned up a missed free throw with a putback to push the lead to double digits.

The defensive pressure paid off again when Ella Odegard jumped a passing lane and fed Saldaña for an easy finish, followed by another Briggs-to-Saldaña connection from the elbow to the block. Brown stayed hot from the perimeter, and Odegard knocked down a corner three as Pahrump Valley surged to an 18–0 advantage.

Saldaña continued to attack, scoring off an inbound set near the elbow and later finishing a give-and-go with Odegard for an and-one opportunity. Despite a few missed free throws, the Lady Trojans carried a commanding 23–3 lead into the second quarter.

In the second, Saldaña remained aggressive, scoring through contact and converting at the line to keep the scoreboard moving. Sydney Crotty added to the lead with a smooth three from the left corner, while Brown capped the half with a steal to preserve a 31–3 advantage at the break.

Pahrump Valley kept its foot on the gas after halftime. Brown drilled another three from the right corner, then followed with a deep swish from the left wing. Odegard joined the perimeter party with a corner three of her own, stretching the margin to 40–5 late in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter showcased the Lady Trojans’ depth. Jaycee Hayes scored from the mid-paint, and Cindal Monahan set up Adrian Rogers on the right block for another basket. Amplus found the net late, but Pahrump Valley closed out the night with a decisive 45–9 road win.

With strong ball movement, relentless pressure, and balanced scoring across the lineup, the Lady Trojans delivered a complete performance away from home and continued to build momentum as the season moves forward.
