Game Corner & Family Fun Center Brings Classic Entertainment and Community Joy to Pahrump

For the past six years, Theresa and Chris Osborne have been on a mission to bring laughter, fun, and togetherness to the Pahrump community through their family-friendly entertainment hub, Game Corner & Family Fun Center. Located at 1190 E Hwy 372, Suite 8, the center has become the go-to destination for birthday parties, weekend outings, and nostalgia-filled gaming experiences—earning it the 2024 title of “Best Entertainment Venue” in Pahrump.

Theresa and Chris opened Game Corner with a clear vision: to create a clean, safe, and inviting place where local families could gather, play, and make memories. “We realized that Pahrump didn’t have much for families to do, other than bowling or going to the park,” she explained. “We wanted to offer something different—a place where people could relax, enjoy good food, and have fun.”

Although the name might lead some to believe the business is focused solely on arcade-style gaming, Game Corner Family Fun Center is so much more. The space features a wide variety of games, a concession stand with fresh-made food, ticket redemption, and themed events that light up the seasons.

One of the standout features is the arcade’s dedication to keeping things delightfully old school. “We still use quarters,” Theresa emphasized. “And we give out actual paper tickets, which people love. It’s not like the card system you see everywhere else. With cards, you don’t even know what you’re spending. This way, it’s tangible, it’s exciting—and kids love it.” The games range from as little as 25 cents up to $1 for larger, immersive experiences like Halo and Jurassic Park. Whether you’re testing your aim at the ring toss, breaking plates in the midway-style game area, punching for high scores, or rolling balls in classic skee-ball, there’s something for every age and interest. Pinball machines and a range of skill and chance games round out the arcade lineup.

When hunger strikes, guests can head over to the concession counter, where they’ll find a menu that goes far beyond typical snack bar fare. “We have amazing pizza—almost any topping you want, made fresh in the back,” Theresa said proudly. “We also serve pretzels, wings, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, a huge variety of sodas and other drinks, and of course, Dippin’ Dots ice cream.” The food is not only affordable, but also part of the prize system. “If a kid doesn’t want another redemption prize, they can trade in their tickets for food,” Theresa added.

Maintaining a safe and supervised environment is a top priority for Theresa and her team. Children are not allowed to be dropped off without supervision. “We keep a tight eye on things,” Theresa explained. “We want to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. It’s important to us that this remains a clean, secure place for families.”

That commitment to safety and quality also extends to Theresa’s staff, who she speaks of with deep admiration. “They’re amazing,” she said. “Most of them have been with us forever. Zach, our technician, keeps everything running like a well-oiled machine, and without him there would be no Game Corner. Devyn works the kitchen like a pro—he moves fast and makes sure food is hot and ready. Dominic handles the Redemption counter like a miracle worker—he can keep track of many kids and their tickets all at once. Then there’s myself, Maria, Kristie, and Lily that round out the team. We all work together like family. It’s fun, and we keep our customers happy.”

Birthday parties are another big draw at Game Corner. With three party packages to choose from, families can customize their celebration based on their budget and interests. The most popular option is Package 3, which gives every child a pre-counted $10 in quarters. There are package add-ons that include visits from characters like Spider-Man, Hello Kitty, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Pikachu. While most parties are held during regular business hours (Friday 1–8 p.m., Saturday 12–7 p.m., and Sunday 12–5 p.m. during the summer), private parties are also available. These exclusive bookings take place before opening on weekends, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and require a minimum of 25 guests plus a $200 facility fee. “Private parties are perfect for families who want to enjoy the space for themselves,” Theresa said.

Beyond the everyday fun, Game Corner also hosts seasonal events and themed celebrations. “We’re planning a Hello Kitty Day soon,” Theresa shared. “We’ve done Spider-Man appearances, and our Christmas setup is incredible. It takes us two weeks to decorate, but it’s worth it. We turn the whole place into a winter wonderland, with a real Santa and a fully-decked-out stage.” Also, there is a Trunk or Treat event for Halloween that involves the whole plaza.

The atmosphere at Game Corner is fun, upbeat, and family-oriented. Music plays overhead throughout the day, with a playlist that ranges from the 1950s to contemporary pop—all clean and appropriate for young audiences. “We keep it light and family-friendly,” Theresa said.

It’s clear from Theresa’s energy and enthusiasm that this business is a labor of love. “We just love our community,” she said. “If you look us up on Google, you’ll see that most of our reviews are four or five stars. We really care about the families who come here.”

To keep up with events, hours, and special announcements, Theresa encourages people to visit the website at gamecornerpahrump.com or follow their Facebook page. With its nostalgic charm, affordable fun, and a welcoming atmosphere, Game Corner & Family Fun Center continues to be a cherished space for families in Pahrump—one quarter at a time.
