Pahrump residents will have a festive and energetic way to get moving this November, as the first annual Gobble Wobble 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk takes off at Discovery Park, located at 1500 S Red Butte St., on November 9 at 8a.m. Acting as a fundraiser for the PV Competitive Dance Team, this event promises a morning full of excitement, community spirit, and support for young dancers.

While preregistration ended on October 30, there’s still a chance for those who missed it to join in the fun. Participants can register on-site on the day of the event; however, late registrants are not guaranteed to receive an official event shirt and swag bag.

The Gobble Wobble event features a traditional 5K run/walk alongside a lighter, 1-mile fun run/walk option, making it accessible for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Alongside the race, participants will find plenty of opportunities to win exciting prizes and giveaways, including a 50/50 raffle and a special prize for the largest registered team.

First-place finishers in each category will receive a special prize, either gift card or cash depending on the category, as an added incentive to keep up the pace, making this not only a fun way to support the dance team but also a chance for some friendly competition among Pahrump’s runners and walkers.

Organizers invite the community to come out and support the PV Competitive Dance Team, whether by running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines. The Gobble Wobble 5K promises a morning of camaraderie, fun, and support for local talent in Pahrump.
