Andrew Caccavale Seeks Nye County Clerk Position With Focus on Election Integrity

For Andrew Caccavale, a run for Nye County Clerk is rooted in a desire to give back to the community he now calls home while addressing concerns he believes many residents have about the election process.

Caccavale, 61, has been a Nevada resident for 27 consecutive years and relocated to Pahrump from Las Vegas four years ago in search of a lifestyle that better suited him.

“I decided to relocate to Pahrump from Las Vegas because it was a better fit for my lifestyle,” he said.

After purchasing a half-acre parcel and building a home, Caccavale said it was the welcoming nature of the community that confirmed he had made the right decision.

“During my visits to Pahrump I was feeling very good about moving here because the people made me feel great, and welcomed,” he said.

Outside of campaigning, Caccavale works as a political consultant, frequently meeting with candidates to discuss campaign strategy and political outreach. He said his professional background has allowed him to gain insight into the political process and the concerns many voters have surrounding elections.

When reflecting on his personal and professional life, Caccavale said he is most proud of both his educational accomplishments and his family.

His decision to seek the Nye County Clerk position came from a broader desire to serve the community in a meaningful way.

“I wanted to give back to my community and I was looking at various options to do so,” he explained. “I saw that there was a great deal of unanswered questions revolving around voting, and securing the people’s vote.”

Caccavale said one of the things he hopes voters understand about him is his willingness to approach problems differently when necessary.

“I see an issue and go about solving it in a different way,” he said. “If you utilize the same strategy every time, and it doesn’t work, you need to change your mindset.”

He described his decision-making process as being guided by conservative principles along with strong family and community-based values.

If elected, Caccavale said one of his primary goals would be to pursue voter identification requirements in Nevada elections.

“Getting voter I.D. passed into law,” he said when asked what success in the role would look like to him.

Beyond election-related issues, Caccavale also pointed to economic opportunities he believes could strengthen the local community, particularly through support for smaller businesses.

“I see opportunities for small mom and pop businesses, that would create jobs for local people,” he said.

Asked what he hopes residents would say about his impact at the end of his term if elected, Caccavale offered a straightforward answer.

“That I stopped cheating and fraud in elections once and for all,” he said.

Outside of politics, Caccavale said he enjoys playing billiards and bowling. He also shared that he has a strong love for animals and hopes to continue advocating for them within the community.

“I love animals, and will always be an advocate for them,” he said.
