A fun and competitive evening is on tap at Pahrump Valley High School as students and staff prepare to square off in the 2026 Staff vs. Students Basketball Game on Thursday, May 7.
The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. inside the PVHS Main Gym, offering the community a chance to enjoy some lighthearted competition while supporting the school. Admission is set at $3 per person or $5 for a group of up to five people, making it an affordable outing for families and friends.
The game will feature four 7-minute quarters, keeping the pace fast and energetic as both sides look to claim bragging rights.
The staff team brings a mix of familiar faces from across campus and the athletic department, including Trenton Curtis, Mike Abbiss, Coach Toby Henry, Elliott Owens, Cameron Cannon, Brayden Preston, Coach Julius and Erik Odegard. With several coaches and experienced athletes in the lineup, the staff squad is expected to bring both skill and strategy to the floor.
On the other side, the student team is stacked with talent and energy, featuring Luca Blundo, Caden Briscoe, Levi Denton, Lucas Gavenda, TC Hone, Samuel Mendoza, Anthony Montanez, Kamden Moore, Trae Plein, Keir Sheppard, Joshua Slusher, Kristoffer Trejo and Aydon Veloz. The group will look to use speed and teamwork to challenge their teachers and coaches.
Beyond the competition, the event is designed to bring the school community together in a relaxed and entertaining environment. With students and staff sharing the court, the game offers a unique opportunity to see a different side of familiar faces while building school spirit.
With a quick format, competitive rosters and plenty of pride on the line, the Staff vs. Students Basketball Game promises to be an entertaining evening for all who attend.
