Pahrump Valley High School senior Timmy Stutzman is inviting the community to experience an unforgettable evening of food, atmosphere, and creativity through his senior project with the school’s culinary department. Titled “Forest at Night,” the event promises to bring together thoughtfully crafted dishes and an immersive dining experience—all created with care and passion.
Set for Wednesday, April 22, the evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner service at 6:00 p.m. in the PVHS Culinary Room. Guests can expect more than just a meal; the event is designed to capture the feeling of a serene evening in nature, blending flavors and presentation into a cohesive and memorable experience.
The menu itself reflects both creativity and balance, offering a full progression of dishes that highlight fresh ingredients and culinary technique. The evening begins with a refreshing wild berry sorbet, combining blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries for a bright and flavorful start. From there, guests will enjoy a warm garden vegetable soup featuring classic ingredients like onion, carrot, and celery, delivering a comforting and savory note.
The main course showcases tender slices of pork tenderloin, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed asparagus—bringing together rich flavor and thoughtful preparation. To conclude the evening, a decadent chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream and delicate chocolate shavings offers a smooth and satisfying finish.
More than just a menu, “Forest at Night” represents the culmination of Stutzman’s hard work and dedication throughout his time in the culinary program. Senior projects like this give students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in a real-world setting, and this event highlights not only his skills in the kitchen, but also his ability to plan and execute a full dining experience.
Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance, as there will be no tickets sold at the door. Community members are encouraged to secure their seats early and support one of PVHS’s talented seniors as he brings this vision to life.
