The annual Hometown Holidays Craft Fair, held December 6-8 at the Bob Ruud Community Center in Pahrump, once again proved to be a cherished community tradition. Organized by Ashley Welch, the event brought together 39 talented vendors who enjoyed great success, with many reporting strong sales. One standout vendor, Ashes Guedel, specializing in sourdough, completely sold out of her inventory by 1 p.m. on Saturday, the only day she participated.

“This year’s fair was absolutely awesome,” said Welch. “Pahrump has so many talented artisans that I am lucky to call my friends, who make my shows absolutely amazing. My craft shows would be nothing without all of them. We are also so incredibly lucky to have such a supportive community of people who always show up and make everyone’s hard work worth it. I am so grateful to all of our customers; they keep us excited to continue creating.”

Beyond the success of the vendors, the event had a heartwarming impact on the local animal rescue organization, West Star Ranch. As part of the vendor fee, participants were asked to donate items for animals, and the response was overwhelming. The donations included multiple months’ worth of pet food, blankets, cash, and gift cards, all of which were given to the non-profit to support its ongoing efforts.

“The generosity of this little town always blows me away,” Welch added. “West Star Ranch received an amazing amount of donations for their fur babies between all the vendors and the community alike. I am forever grateful to all who participate in this show!”

The Hometown Holidays Craft Fair continues to highlight the creativity of Pahrump’s artisans and the giving spirit of the community, ensuring its place as a beloved holiday tradition.
