Selah Sol Wellness Retreat Brings Weekend of Connection, Renewal to Pahrump

After three days focused on wellness, reflection and meaningful community connection, the inaugural Selah Sol Wellness Retreat concluded in Pahrump with strong participation and an overwhelmingly positive response from attendees and organizers alike.

Held June 12–14 at Nevada Treasure RV Resort, the retreat welcomed 32 attendees for a weekend intentionally designed to create space for rest, inspiration and authentic connection. Across the three days, participants experienced a blend of wellness activities, educational workshops and social gatherings — all while moving at their own pace and choosing the experiences that resonated most with them.

The weekend officially began with a celebratory ribbon cutting hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, marking the launch of the retreat and welcoming guests to the experience. Miss Pahrump also joined the celebration, helping kick off the inaugural event and adding to the sense of excitement surrounding the weekend.

From there, attendees settled into a schedule that balanced movement, conversation and moments of quiet restoration.

Among the featured experiences were guided sound baths, yoga sessions and personal training opportunities, all set against carefully designed lighting and ambiance intended to create a calming atmosphere throughout the retreat space.

Nine speakers participated throughout the weekend, offering workshops and discussion-based sessions centered around personal growth, wellness, connection and self-development. According to organizers, those sessions created opportunities for attendees not only to learn something new but to reflect and engage with one another in meaningful ways.

Meals throughout the retreat were provided by Desert Oasis Cafe & Bar and became an unexpected highlight of the experience. Rather than serving simply as breaks in the schedule, mealtimes evolved into gathering spaces where attendees connected, shared stories and formed relationships over the course of the weekend.

One of the retreat’s community-centered moments came through the “Ideas in the Desert” talk series, which invited broader participation and opened the retreat experience beyond registered guests. Community members delivered a series of short, 10-minute talks that introduced new perspectives and encouraged conversation among attendees.

As the weekend continued, one of the standout experiences came during a candlelit evening gathering featuring dessert and wine provided by The Wine Down and live music from Chamber Door. The evening created an intentionally relaxed setting where attendees spent time together, built deeper connections and created lasting memories.

Organizer Heather Williams said seeing attendees embrace the retreat’s purpose and engage with one another made the event feel especially rewarding.

“We hoped to create something that felt restorative and welcoming, but seeing people truly settle in, connect and enjoy the experience exceeded our expectations,” Williams said. “Watching conversations continue after sessions ended and seeing relationships form over meals and shared experiences made the entire weekend feel incredibly special.”

Williams said the response from attendees reinforced that experiences centered on wellness and intentional connection have a place in the community.

“The turnout and the feedback we received were incredibly encouraging,” she said. “This weekend showed us there’s an appetite for these kinds of experiences in Pahrump, and I would love to see us bring events like this back more often and continue building something people can look forward to.”

While the inaugural retreat has now concluded, organizers say the weekend created momentum for future opportunities and left them excited about what Selah Sol could become moving forward.

For attendees, the event offered more than a schedule of activities — it created space to slow down, reconnect and leave with new ideas, new friendships and memories built over a shared weekend experience.
