Nye County Sheriff’s Office to Host Inaugural “Blocktober Fest” Volleyball Fundraiser at PVHS

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is gearing up for a friendly — yet competitive — faceoff that promises to be one of the most entertaining events of the fall. The first-ever Blocktober Fest will take place on Sunday, October 19, at 5:00 p.m. inside the Pahrump Valley High School gymnasium, where members of local law enforcement will swap badges for volleyballs in a spirited showdown to support local students.

This “Law Enforcement vs. Law Enforcement” competition will see NCSO members go head-to-head on the court, serving, spiking, and diving for bragging rights — all in the name of community and a good cause. The event is free and open to the public, and organizers hope to fill the stands with supporters ready to cheer on their favorite deputies and officers.

Families are encouraged to attend and get into the Halloween spirit early — costumes are encouraged for the kids, with spooky, silly, and sweet outfits all welcome. There will also be raffle tickets available for purchase (cash only), offering a chance to win exciting prizes donated by generous local vendors.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Pahrump Valley High School Athletic Department, helping fund equipment, uniforms, and other needs for Trojan athletes across all sports.

Community members are invited to come out, show their support, and enjoy an evening of laughter, competition, and local pride. As organizers put it — “Let’s pack the stands and make this a night to remember!”
