Visitors to this year’s Pahrump Fall Festival will have more than just carnival rides, vendors, and entertainment to look forward to. Optum–Nevada’s healthcare team is bringing its Medicine on the Move mobile medical center to the event on Saturday, September 27, offering free preventive screenings to local residents.

The mobile unit will be stationed at Petrack Park, 1071 E. Dandelion Street, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. One of the main services provided will be on-site mammograms, with no wait times, giving community members a chance to receive important screenings without the hassle of long appointments or travel.

Medicine on the Move was created to bring healthcare directly to Nevada communities, with a focus on preventing illness and promoting wellness close to home. By traveling throughout Southern and Northern Nevada, the mobile unit makes it easier for people to access screenings and general health services that can often be overlooked in busy schedules.

The services offered at the Pahrump Fall Festival are available at no cost to Optum–Nevada members. Those interested in scheduling an appointment in advance can do so by calling 1-800-382-0870 (TTY 711). Additional information is also available at Optum.com/Nevada.

Optum–Nevada is the state’s largest multispecialty medical group, with more than 350 providers across Optum Specialty Care, Optum Primary Care, and Southwest Medical. Through its extensive network of primary and specialty care providers, the organization supports Medicare Advantage patients and focuses on building a healthcare system that prioritizes the health and happiness of patients.

The Fall Festival, one of the community’s biggest annual events, offers the perfect setting for Optum’s outreach. With thousands of residents expected to attend, Medicine on the Move gives people the opportunity to take care of their health while enjoying a day of festivities.
