A new initiative is providing clothing and hope to those in need in Pahrump. Couponing for Students, Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, has announced the launch of Patsy’s Community Closet, a heartfelt program designed to support foster youth, seniors, veterans, and individuals facing hardship. This charitable initiative is named in honor of Patsy Brown, a well-respected business owner, lawyer, and philanthropist who has dedicated much of her life to giving back to the community.

Patsy’s Community Closet offers a wide range of new and gently used clothing items, all available free of charge. From accessories, dresses, handbags, and jewelry, to pants, shoes, skirts, suits, and loungewear, the clothing selections are thoughtfully curated to ensure that each recipient can find items that fit their needs, style, and dignity. Many of the new items are sourced from popular department store chains, offering a combination of comfort, quality, and style.

What makes Patsy’s Community Closet truly unique is its boutique-style shopping experience. Exclusive, invitation-only events allow participants to shop in a welcoming, compassionate atmosphere, where they are treated with respect and care. The goal is not only to provide clothing but to inspire and uplift the participants, helping them feel seen and valued.

Among the distinguished guests who will attend these events are several prominent community leaders, including Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill, Nye County District Attorney Brian Kunzi, Nye County Commissioner Bruce Jabbour, Former Nye County Commissioner Frank Carbone, Las Vegas Municipal District Court Judge Matthew Walker, and Commissioner Kathleen Taylor from the Nevada Commission for Women. Their involvement underscores the importance of this program and its support from both local and state officials.

“Our goal is simple—to make people feel seen, valued, and confident,” said Patsy Brown, Founder and Executive Director of Couponing for Students, Inc. “Clothing may seem basic, but it can make a powerful difference in someone’s self-esteem, outlook, and opportunities. PATSY’S COMMUNITY CLOSET is about more than clothes—it’s about care and inspiration.”

The first event of 2025 is scheduled for September 13th, followed by October 11th and November 8th, with each event running from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Dad’s American Diner, located at 1440 State 372 #1 in Pahrump. Beneficiaries will be referred by a variety of dignitaries, government organizations, and non-government entities, ensuring that those who need assistance can access the program.

Patsy’s Community Closet has also garnered support from several local organizations and groups. Charter partners include the Armed Forces Chamber, Ephraim’s David Las Vegas, USA, Nye County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Unit (SAU), Phi Nu Alpha Military Spouses Sorority, Inc., Sarah Sivrais, Strength and Flight, and Stuffed Bellies Hunger Relief Charity. These partners play an essential role in ensuring the success and reach of the program.

Additionally, there are opportunities for sponsorship, volunteering, and partnering with Patsy’s Community Closet, allowing more individuals and organizations to contribute to this vital cause.

As the program grows, Patsy Brown and her team remain committed to making a lasting impact in Pahrump by not just providing clothing, but by offering hope, dignity, and a sense of community to those in need. This initiative is a powerful reminder that when we come together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.

For more information on how to participate, volunteer, or support Patsy’s Community Closet, visit the Couponing for Students website or reach out directly to the organization for further details on upcoming events and opportunities.
